Eat Girl

I seem to be spending a disproportionate amount of time wondering what kind of superpower I would like to have, if one was offered. Usually, I'm a fan of teleport. You know, zip zap Sonoma, sproing boing Marrakesh. Or Serengeti. Or Bhutan.

Not to mention: here's a hug, Mom, here's my baby, Grandma!

But lately, well, I've been flirting with a new idea. It's not exactly a superpower, really. I mean, comic book fans would frown upon this with tall, tall foreheads. But still.

What if I could order anything I wanted in any reastaurant I came across, and what if I could eat it all without ever gaining weight or feeling stuffed or gross in any way. That would be something. I could call myself Eat Girl, or Lunchette. I could have a costume, too, and wear a napkin instead of a cape.

The blueberry maple syryp bacon pancakes at Food Story would definitely be a staple. Sigh.

UPDATE: I'm sorry, Lunchette is a really terrible superhero moniker. But Eat Girl feels a little dated, you know. Any suggestions? Gluttonie? Doctor Devour?

Couldn't it be possible that there are two eat girls? We are sisters, after all...

hee hee hee, I like "Eat Girl" -- and can I please have that super power too? I'm with you on that AND teleporting, and here's the other one that I spend too much time wishing for: time stoppage! I think you could benefit from it too. The world freezes, adorable babies and all, and you get to writewritewrite! (Of course, I stipulate, there is no AGING that goes on whilst on time stoppage. Noooooo. That's happening too fast already!) I know, I know, the crime fighters would frown at my super power wishes: to eat more and work more, ha ha! But it makes perfect sense to me :-)

Why yes, let's make it three Eat Girls. Like a League of Justice, only with good food and glasses of wine for lunch.

And Laini: Oooh, yes, that is a good power! And never has it been more enticing than now. I'd stop time just before three in the morning (when it's time to go on baby watch)and sleep for another four hours or so. And then I'd stop again during Magnus's nap time and WRITE! I miss my story, especially now that I think I've figured out where to go with the last two chapters. But sadly Magnus + ear infection + eye infection + Pan back at work = no writing for me.

Oh, time stoppage is a good one! I also think about being invisible quite often, especially when walking around with my camera.

It does sound an awful lot like you're talking about my alter ego The Finisher.
